This was supposed to be part of our one year birthday celebration, however we got a little behind with everything going on and all of the accessories we were getting.

Golla is a company that I have to than a million times over for what they were willing to donate to our readers for the giveaway. 

Not only was/am I impressed with my laptop bag (which I will show off at CTIA), but it left me speechless when they agreed to send SIXTEEN cases for us to give away!!!

It may be hard to tell from the above photo but there are four different colors/styles to choose from. Red, brown, purple, and black. Which means there is something for everyone (men and women).

This has got to be one of my most favorite reviews to write. One would think that with all of the accessories we review, it would be hard to pick our favorites. This is not always true. When you find that one product that just jumps out at you, its not hard to talk about it ALL the time!

I contacted Ankit during CES. The funny thing is that they were not targeting the BlackBerry audience, in fact they were gearing more towards iphones etc.

I have come to learn after a few conferences now, that although companies may initially seem geared more towards one target audience (iphone, ipod, apple etc) they sometimes have something to offer which can benefit OUR target audience. This is the case with the Ankit earbuds.

First I bring you a brief description from their site:

"ankit earphones are ergonomically designed with enhanced noise isolation and have g-bass™ technology. we offer insanely cool earphones full of attitude and life with 3-d metallic designs in amazing packaging.  our earphones are for people who want to express  themselves. we plant a tree for every earphone."

Here is what I like about them, from my own personal use, not from the company:

This company seems to have "attitude" in their product, but in a GOOD way. I had to smile when I took the brown bag out of the box. If you cant tell in the above photo, I will post another below this. The bag says "If you don't buy our earphones we'll shoot this dog"…not that the dog has anything to do with earbuds, but I understood the sarcasm.

They sent a few really nice pamphlets on the earbuds. I can say without a doubt that this company is good on advertising and the graphics are far beyond that which I have seen with many others.

Packaging with this is sleek and fresh. Typically I would say that the packaging of a product doesn't matter much. After looking at this one, I would have to say I was wrong. When the accessory just stands out at you and makes you think "WOW", they have done their job.

The earbuds come with two other sizes in the ear pieces to change out, besides the ones that are on there. I'm not really sure how to describe the ear pieces other than they are "squishy". Very soft, and amazingly comfortable on the ear.

The next thing I noticed is the earbud itself. You may have read above in Ankit's description about how they have metallic earbuds. When you hold them, they feel "heavy", but its not a bad thing. I can tell that there is quality in this product.

Also, pretty much ALL the other earbuds I have tested, (no matter what the part looks like that goes in your ear has foam, plastic etc) are straight. As in there is no angle to them just an "L" or "R" which can easily be confused or switched without notice. There is no denying which ear these go in, as they are angled for comfort and ultimate satisfaction.

I am giving these earbuds a 12/10 (yes you read that right). Of all the products I test, these are the only earbuds I seem to carry with me at all times. I fell in love with this product from the moment I opened the box.

The mCube Slim is a compact universal adapter.

Her site is Case Culture, while it might not have a large selection of cases, what she DOES have is well worth the mention.

They currently have cases for the 83xx series BlackBerry's and the newer Bold series. You can also find other accessories on there such as chargers and replacement trackballs.

The trackballs are how I came to know Nina. When I had my 8310 I needed a replacement trackball but didnt want to order from CNN.cn, nor did I want to pay a boatload of money. Nina hooked my up with a trackball replacement for very cheap and the delivery was very fast. I was ever grateful for her helping me. So when she sent me some cases for possible review I was more than happy to help her out.

I have a problem though. Both of these nice silicone cases that I have here, are for the 83xx series BlackBerry, of which I no longer have. I have decided to do a giveaway for these, however the one stipulation I have is that whoever gets a case must actually USE them, and then write a brief review for us on the good and not so good of the case (if there is anything bad).

Fair enough? You get a FREE silicone case, you just have to use it (of course) and write a brief review of it. It does not have to be long. Just tell us what you love about it, and if there is anything that could be better.

With that being said, there were still plenty of emails from companies, that had something to offer our readers. Thinking of the readers first, I emailed each and every one of them in regards to testing products for the purpose of writing a review. This is my way of finding out first hand, if the product they are trying to promote is worthy of Blackberry Motion use

I would like to introduce a company to you that I cannot help but shout from the rooftops about. I present to you Golla of Finland. With a slogan that reads "welcome to the world of generation mobile", one cannot help but become intrigued. 

My contact at Golla was nice enough to send me a case to review and a laptop bag for review. The laptop bag has now become my mobile office, with a place for everything I could possibly need.

I was sent what they call their SMART BAGS. 

Some of the features they list about these bags are:

Carabiner for attaching the bag in a variety of places: belt loop, bigger shoulder bag or backpack, golf bag, safe place in sailing boat…

Belt loop

Separate neck-strap

Velcro closing on the front of the bag

Zipped pocket on the front for coins and small items

Small extra front pocket for earphones or credit cards

Soft lining material to protect the screen of the device

After using the above product for a little over a week, here is my take on it.

As far as looks and style are concerned, I would give all of the Golla products a 5/5. They have the NYC, Hollywood, fashion "look" to them. The minute I took them out the style reminded me of something I would see in regards to runway fashion, or that of the "new" and "now" hot trends. It does help perhaps that on the home page of their site they have a model with a Golla design painted on her back

In regards to ease of use. This one is a bit different, It does come with a neckstrap to use for the obvious reason of carrying it around your neck. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a big deal if it was an MP3 player (even then I dont carry them around my neck). That leaves the other option of using the clip that is provided, this is how I tested the case.

I must say that with the material inside the case, it is well protected from scratches etc. How well the Blackberry's fit in there, is not a problem. My only issue was taking it out of the case. Typically I can slide my case off my belt loop with one hand (example Otterbox). However since this case was on a clip attached to my belt loop, that meant that I had to basically hold the case with one hand and slide it out with the other..not something I liked very much.

The zipped pocket on the front and the extra front pocket, both for coins and credit cards or for earbuds, came in extremely handy. Specifically for the ladies, I am referring to going out for the evening to a place where you dont want to carry your purse and everything in it. This case worked out GREAT for that because I had plenty of room for my BlackBerry (without it being squished), along with a credit card and/or some cash, and my photo ID. There was even room for earbuds. For ease of use and overall function I give it a 4/5, simply because of the need to use two hands when taking out my BlackBerry.

Because its a soft case, it obviously does not protect from water, or from damage due to the user bumping into something while its on your hip. If you are one who is prone to accidentally abusing your BlackBerry then perhaps this case is not for you.

Because this company is based originally out of Finland, I began to wonder where here in the US would I be able to find this product if I wanted to buy one. When visiting their site you must click on retail locations, which then prompts you to enter your country. Upon entering USA, this is what I get..

Unfortunately you cannot buy directly from their site, nor does it list the prices for the products, leaving you to search for them on the various sites. This is something that I would like to see changed. A consumer would like to go directly to the product site and be able to order from there most of the time, if nothing else at LEAST list how much the products cost, so that the consumer will know ahead of time how much they will need for the purchase.

When logging into the Best Buy site I was able to find the laptop bag that I received, but not the cases, however upon my last trip to Best Buy I went in search of the Golla products and could have sworn that I saw them there. 

Retail value for the cases displayed in this review appear to be around $20 USD, the laptop bag (which I give a 5/5 or 10/10 for) has a retail value listed on the Best Buy website of approximately $70 USD.

The laptop bag, I am recommending to everyone I talk to. It will be what I take with me to all of the upcoming conferences. Here is a brief description of the product:

Awhile back Crackberry was giving away a bold or storm, and the winner of that had got it for tattoo'ing his leg with a BlackBerry tattoo of a device. I only know of one other person that has a BlackBerry logo tattoo, and it was just that….the logo. Nothing more, nothing less.

I however, being the extremely crazy person that I am, decided to take it to the extreme. Thinking that the logo itself was not enough, wanting something more…I decided to go with the BlackBerry logo surrounded by barbwire and dripping with blood.

There has been certain instances that have bypassed Blackberry's security. This was reported by SMobile's Global Threat Center. The report was created using a Proof-of-Concept malicious application that focuses specifically on a BlackBerry using the BIS network. These BlackBerrys run on a weakened security platform when compared to the BES, and are primarily protected using a permissions accepted or denied by the user. This isn't anything to be worried about. Just something to be aware of.
